Great RIOT Wednesday – More Energy, Mas Happy! :))

Grabe. This is one of the best Wednesdays of my RX Life. Hahaha OA? Nah, ang ganda lang kasi talaga ng araw na ito for me.

For those who do not know, RX 93.1 plays the best of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s every Wednesday. They call it the Monster’s Riot. Before, when they still played the best of the 70s, I didn’t appreciate the Riot much. But since a lot of the songs on their Riot playlist are now familiar, I always look forward to the Riot na.

Anyways, my great Riot Wednesday started at 3am this morning because of The Show, during which, Enzo did a solo flight because Andre’s sick (like me! get well soon to us!). Enzo instantly played my request – The Backstreetboys’ Get Down. Yeah, I’m a sucker for boy bands. Aminin niyo, kayo rin haha =))

At 6am, The Morning Rush ushered in the Top Ten Things To Say To Someone Who Says, “Please, let me go.” My request wasn’t played, but Delle said my entry was witty so super happy pa rin ako. Plus, Chico did a great job of choosing songs related to the topic! Nakakaiyak, lalo na yung “If I’m Not In Love With You.” Namaaaaan. Medyo na-depress pa ako when I didn’t get to win the Enervon promo! Hahaha! Paano ba naman, iisa lang yung nanalo sa Enervon and Goldilocks promo! Masuwerte siya si Chico ang nag-handle nun. Malamang pag si Delle, hindi siya papayag because she’s stricter pagdating sa promos.

Now the mushiness continued on The Ride. People (Gelli, included) were commenting about the songs Jude was playing – a fellow Rusher, Hunter Lizzie, even asked to ban playing “Separate Lives” hahaha! Pero bumawi si Jude, he played a lot of cool dance songs towards the end of their show.

Since it’s a Wednesday, The Daily Survey transforms into Mixed Tape. They have this really cool segment called “Corny Corner” wherein…well, corny songs are played. I forgot what was the first song played, but I was pleasantly surprised when Christi announced that the last corny song was requested by…yours truly hehe =D Louie was pretending to discontinue playing the song pa nga, probably because he thinks its extra corny hahaha But he did play it – “Shalalalala” by the Venga Boys. Wahahaha Gino was dancing pa nga raw hahaha!  I requested this a few weeks back…Aside from being a pleasantly corny song, what made me really happy was the reaction of a lot of listeners (even those who I do not know haha)! They were thanking me for requesting the song hahaha Ang saya naman kasi talaga siyang pakinggan albeit corny =D

But wait, there’s more! I requested for The Moffatts’ “I’ll Be There For You” and Gino played it yey! And yey! I won the Enervon promo na! Wootwoo! I’m not sure how many, but I think I won at least two movie passes to any Ayala Mall. Hehe. Btw, if you have a Twitter account, please follow Gino Quillamor HERE. Kahit until Monday lang please? So there. Super great Riot Wednesday talaga albeit me fighting flu. A REGULAR FLU OKAY?! Hindi ito swine flu, promise. =D
