“When I saw your profile, I was surprised! You like Percy Jackson!” – from a new and most likely another loyal young learner – she booked my class again tomorrow! Gotta love Japan’s summer vacation – so many cute and nice YL students!

My love for Harry Potter began in 2000 – I was in 2nd year high school. I remember reading books 2 and 3 first before reading book 1! I remember being greatly frightened by the “whispering walls” in The Chamber of Secrets! Books 1-6 were given to me by either my dad or relatives, while I finally bought Book 7 with my own money as it was published in 2007 – the year I graduated from college & the year I started working! I will never get tired of re-reading this series. ALWAYS. ❤

“Though the binding cracks and the pages start to yellow, I’ll be in love with you.” – me to my books, especially the HP series. (If you know the song, high five!)
Blast from the past: bought this when I was in 2nd year high school, 2 months after its release (I bought “Quidditch Through the Ages” first)! I can’t wait to watch the film adaptation, hopefully this weekend!

Since I started busying myself with my YouTube channel, I’ve had less time for other hobbies, including watching movies and READING. I’m not yet done with “The Sword of Asgard” from the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series, plus I have yet to read some others, including the latest Lorien Legacy book. I’m normally a very fast reader, but I seriously need to find time for it now. I’m not complaining – I love creating vlogs – but I can’t wait to immerse myself in other worlds again! I’m hoping to finish reading “The Hidden Oracle” from the Trials of Apollo series this May. I haven’t started, but I will. I must!!! 🙂

I seriously need to find time to catch up on my reading. These are just 2 of the books I haven’t read yet! Which should I read first?!

This morning, I learned that Harper Lee will have a second book published, and I was thrilled! Here is my copy of “To Kill a Mockingbird,” which is one of my favorite novels of all time! It is my most battered-looking book as I’ve read it several times even after 3rd year high school (for our book report), and I’ve owned it for almost 13 years! I was so into it that I even wrote notes on some pages. Most of the notes were meanings of the words I didn’t know at that time. In college, I watched the first half of the black and white film version at the UP Main Library; I didn’t get to finish it because of time constraints, but I wish I did! I can’t wait to read this book again, and of course, grab a copy of its sequel! ❤

Another great series comes to an end…*le sigh* haven’t finished reading it; I’m just sad that this is the last book of the series. More, please!! ❤
