2017 Project 365, Day 246: Goreng Goreng Part 2

Photo #246: September 3

Enjoyed another Goreng Goreng dinner for our Sundate! For tonight, we had Hainanese chicken, ikan goreng kuah kacang (fish), kangkong belacan, and mee goreng mamak (noodles). Everything’s so flavorful! While eating, I kept thinking about bringing my friends here, especially my besties!!! ❤

2017 Project 365, Day 106: Hungry Panda Food House Marikina

Photo #106: April 16

Happy Easter, happy eaters! Opted for a Chinese lunch with my loves as we tried Hungry Panda Food House Marikina. On the table: Yang Chow fried rice, buttered chicken, beef broccoli flower, and lechon kawali. My favorite’s the chicken, which looked dry, but was actually quite flavorful and had a nice crunch. I initially thought the beef broccoli was salty, but it got better as we munched on. The lechon kawali’s okay, but dry. We finished the rice! 3 hungry pandas, eh? We also loved their chili oil!!! I usually judge a Chinese restaurant by their chili oil, so good job, Hungry Panda! Great for groups! ^^

I started opening birthday gifts!!! Thank you for the mini cactus, Andrew! First time for me to receive a plant as a gift! I had to Google “how to take care of a small cactus”! =p In the background is a thoughtful Chinese New Year gift from Khrisna! Thank you guys!

2017 Project 365, Day 29: Saint and Sinner Sandwiches

Photo #29: January 29

I wish this photo could do more justice to Mandi’s Grill Grub‘s latest experiment, the “Saint and Sinner” sandwich, nay, sandwiches! I couldn’t figure out how to get a clear picture of both, but there are actually 2 sandwiches here. Below is the “saint”: 2 grilled chicken breast pieces with cheese. On top is the “sinner,” and rightfully so because it has 2 fried chicken thigh fillets, 2 pieces of thick-cut bacon, cheese, and egg-mayo. Goodness, the fried chicken tastes like KFC’s! Everything is sandwiched between slightly sweet bread, sweet because of either cranberries or raisins – I was busy eating to confirm hahaha! This sandwich monstrosity was served with some fries and mojos, with Mandi’s oh so yummy tartar sauce! Please have this na po on your menu!!!
