2017 Project 365, Day 121: Labor Day

Photo #121: May 1

Isn’t it ironic that today is “LABOR Day,” but a lot of people are on holiday?  Anyway, I’ll be laboring away as it’s a new month!

2017 Project 365, Day 8: Laptop Stand

Photo #8: January 8

Upgraded my laptop stand to a sturdier and classier-looking one! The first one I bought was made of plastic, so it was wobbly, and one of its legs broke! So happy with this purchase! I bought it at Ace Hardware, Megamall branch.

Despite working homebased, I still feel like I have colleagues, thanks toRareJob Philippines, Inc.‘s tutor gatherings. Through one of those events, I met some of my fellow free trial lesson tutors, including this cutie pie, Chris. 😀 But seriously, having them in my life motivates me to become a better educator as we help each other, even train each other if needed (ehem, audit)! Also, I’d love to have the same background as Chris’ hahaha! =p

2015 Project 365, Day 253: Happy First Rare Job Anniversary!

Photo #253: September 10

On this day, one year ago, I conducted my first RareJob Philippines, Inc. class! Actually, my first student was absent, the second one late, and the third one was on time! Haha! I scheduled only 3 classes because I simply wanted to familiarize myself with the system. Now, I usually have at least 16 classes on weekdays and 6-10 classes on weekends. In my first year, I became a recipient of the Good Tutor Awards twice (for having many loyal students) and a member of the Chatty team (an SMS-based service). In addition, I am still one of the recommended tutors who can conduct free trial lessons and assessment tests for potential students. It has been only a year, but I feel like I’ve been doing this longer! The recent carmageddon traffic situations made me even more thankful for this job as it is homebased.
