2019 Project 365, Day 85: Sayonara, Japan!

Photo #85: March 26

Nearly 2 years ago, we swore to travel to Japan together. We originally planned to go in October 2018, but due to various personal reasons, the trip had to be delayed. Despite that, my two best friends still encouraged and supported me during RareJob’s ambassador program last year, which became my first ticket to Japan. Now that we’ve fulfilled our promise, we can’t help but feel overwhelmed with much gratitude and love for each other! The journey was tough but we persevered! Oh, Japan! Thank you for all the memories! We promise to visit you again! *happy tears* #DreamsDoComeTrue#KonnichiwaKikays #WhenSomedayBecomesToday #PinkyPromise

2019 Project 365, Day 84: Hanami

Photo #84: March 25

Ticked off our bucket list: experiencing the Japanese tradition of enjoying beautiful flowers, HANAMI! More cherry blossoms greeted us as we explored Ohori and Maizuru parks!

Travel tip: many hawks fly around Ohori park, so be careful with your food! A hawk swooped down and grabbed a piece of karaage from my hand while I was busy admiring some chubby pigeons! I was startled and amazed at the same time!

2019 Project 365: Huis Ten Bosch

Photo #81: March 22

Ahhhh Huis Ten Bosch!!! It’s so Instagrammable that my camera ran out of juice! So many great pictures, so difficult to choose which one to post for this album! Hence, this collage! A must-see in Sasebo, Nagasaki!!

2019 Project 365 Day 80: Nagasaki!

Photo #80: March 21

Today was all about history as we visited the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and Peace Park. We cried as we read about what happened on August 9, 1945. We also watched/listened to survivors’ accounts…my shawl was wet with tears! 😦

We were also a little sad about not seeing as many cherry blossoms as expected, but we still appreciated Nagasaki’s beauty!

2019 Project 365 Day 79: Birthday in Kimono!

Photo #79: March 20

First time to celebrate my birthday abroad! We walked around Yanagawa in kimonos! The locals are so nice and friendly! They are also quite sweet and helpful even though they speak little or no English! Ahhhh can’t get enough of Japan! Best birthday by far!!! So happy!!! Thank you for all the greetings!!! #HBinJP #KonnichiwaKikays #FlyAstroboyFly

2018 Project 365, Day 302: Bestie Time

Photo #302: October 29

Find friends who’ll inspire you to save effectively, encourage you to invest in insurance, join your food trips/travels, support your skincare routine, and stick with you in sickness and in health, you may now kiss each other! 😂😘 Spent time with my first bestie as we took advantage of our health card coverage/benefits prior to its renewal, and of course, we had a hearty dinner after. Really thankful that our job grants us such flexibility! #KikaysOfRareJob
