2018 Project 365, Day 196: Shabu-shabu!

Photo #196: July 15

Someone took his shabu-shabu seriously…  Check out House 81 Terrace Cafe along Gil Fernando Avenue in Marikina! Planning to go back soon to try their ala carte dishes!  Our favorites from the shabu-shabu: beef, shitake mushrooms, meat balls, pechay Baguio, and the spicy-salty yuzu sauce!

2018 Project 365, Day 185: Red’s Fish Heads

Photo #185: July 4

Finally ate somewhere along Lilac Street with my family! Savored our last lunch together before tomorrow’s flight. On the table: crispy itik, laing, pork sinigang, grilled tuna belly, ginataang puso ng saging (banana blossom), pork sisig, grilled cheesy squid (super delish huhu), and garlic rice. Dunno when my folks and brother will visit again, but I think they got their fill of Filipino dishes. #bittersweet

2018 Project 365, Day 125: Goreng Goreng Delivery

Photo #125: May 5

Too busy to go out or cook, but that won’t stop me from eating good food! So thankful that Goreng Goreng now delivers huhu! Savior from starvation! On the table: tauhu goreng (tofu chips), mee goreng mamak (Indian-Malay style fried noodles), and ayam goreng berempah (fried chicken). Funny, when I placed my order, ate girl, upon knowing who I was, said, “No kangkong???” AHAHAHA =p They know me too well. Next time, kangkong! ❤

2018 Project 365, Day 118: Mi Dai Korean Restaurant

Photo #118: April 28

2 years ago, Mi Dai Korean Restaurant opened along Rainbow Street. After a few months, they transfered to Lilac Street, in front of the Rancho 1 gate. However, due to unexpected circumstances, they had to close again. They finally reopened last week at #19 Lilac – near Forget Me Not Cafe. They now offer an unlimited buffet aside from their usual samgyupsal!

2018 Project 365, Day 108: Day Off with Besties

Photo #108: April 18

My regular food & nail spa bonding with my besties is usually a reward for being on beast mode for the first few weeks of a month. Also, it’s a great excuse to discover different establishments. Today, we ate at Dong Juan, Lamp Quarters and tried House of Z along Lilac Street. Definitely going back to Lamp Quarters to try their other restos, plus House of Z for their relaxing ambiance & excellent service! #KikaysOfRareJob
