2017 Project 365, Day 106: Hungry Panda Food House Marikina

Photo #106: April 16

Happy Easter, happy eaters! Opted for a Chinese lunch with my loves as we tried Hungry Panda Food House Marikina. On the table: Yang Chow fried rice, buttered chicken, beef broccoli flower, and lechon kawali. My favorite’s the chicken, which looked dry, but was actually quite flavorful and had a nice crunch. I initially thought the beef broccoli was salty, but it got better as we munched on. The lechon kawali’s okay, but dry. We finished the rice! 3 hungry pandas, eh? We also loved their chili oil!!! I usually judge a Chinese restaurant by their chili oil, so good job, Hungry Panda! Great for groups! ^^

2017 Project 365, Day 28: Deconstructed Kare Kare

Say hello to one of Mandi’s Grill Grub‘s latest offerings: deconstructed kare-kare! It has crispy pork pieces on a bed of eggplant, pechay, and sitaw, plus a generous amount of uber yummy bagoong rice! Ahhhhh! This also comes with 2 drinks, but Leo and I agree that an order can feed 3 people. Everything is just P480! Visit them along Lilac ASAP!!! 😀

Overheard at a Siomai House kiosk:

Guy, on his phone: Dito lang ako Panorama, “merienda” muna, oks? *ends call* ate, siomai rice. (I’m here at Panorama, will have a snack first… *to vendor* siomai rice, please!

“Meriendas,” more rice in the Philippines. 😀

Mine is called a “late lunch.” :p

Celebrating my 2nd month of reaching 500 lessons, thanks to my favorite restaurant along Lilac Street in Marikina, Mandi’s Grill Grub! On the plate: flavorful chicken inasal, sinfully good sisig rice, and yummy pancit with crunchy liempo! I already have sustenance for the first few days of November, also thanks to my ever so kind and thoughtful MGG family!

2016 Project 365, Day 66: Happy Omonok Dinner

Photo #66: March 6

Say hello to my happy dinner from the restaurant that serves the best flavored chicken along Lilac Street: OMOnok! I’m glad that they’re now back to their regular operating hours of 4pm-9/10pm, Tuesdays-Sundays. I also love their Omo-nin and Omo-fries! They also have Binggrae products, and my choice for tonight is Pangtoa cookies and cream! ^^
