Found a 3-week old diner by accident, and their takoyaki is soooo oishii! Check out Tokyo Style – Marikina! They also have ramen and rice meals. They are located at Purple Street, Concepcion Dos, Marikina.
p.s. mapanlinang slight, though: I was expecting a whole baby octopus haha pero more of tentacles lang, but still good!!! Or baka pala sa sobrang sarap, di ko napansin kung buo ba haha emshere! 😋🐙

Ran some errands today, and managed to drop by Gōrudo RAMEN for this creamy, savory gyuniku ramen. Of course, hindi puwedeng walang gyoza! #keysieats #WhenInMarikina

What’s better than shopping for omiyage? Receiving omiyage! 😅😂 Thank you, Angie 朱明珠!!! We seriously have to go to Japan together in the future! 😘

I just recently learned what the stickers at the bottom of Japanese cup noodles are for! 😅🙌 No more using random objects to seal the cup while waiting for the noodles to cook! 😂 I also discovered that Nissin’s Chili Tomato is yummy, too! 😋🍜

Another ramen place opened just recently in my neighborhood: Crazy Ramen (Panorama corner Lilac). Apparently, it is also owned by the same people behind Crazy Katsu along Lilac. Not the best ramen I’ve tasted, but it’s good enough. Currently, they have only 4 variants: shoyu (soy sauce), tonkotsu (pork bone), miso, and this one, hiyashi chuka (cold – with some sweet/salty sauce). Itadakimasu!

Cheese + almond + rice crackers = a satisfyingly crunchy & yummy snack! 😊

First time to try Ramen Kuroda, and it will definitely not be the last! I think their set meals are more sulit than Hokkaido Santouka’s, cheaper and yummier, too! Itadakimasu!

Snacks for today: Calbee’s ume & tarako butter Jagariko. Many of my students also like these. 😋 I want to go back to Japan to try other flavors. 😍
