Went to Robinsons Metro East earlier to go shopping, and aside from groceries & clothes, we also chanced upon a pop-up Korean food stall! Cheap thrills! We bought kimchi at only P100 a tub, and a sampler of everything for only P120 an order. Apparently, they’re from Robinsons Ermita, and they will be at Metro East only until tomorrow! My faves are their kimchi and non-breaded dumplings!

Glad to know that the Jolly hotdog can now be customized. Wish they’d have more toppings to choose from in the future. For now they only have cheese, bacon, and jalapeno.

Shizen Ramen has only 12 items on their menu, but quality is defnitely a priority here. They currently offer 5 kinds of ramen, and we tried their best-sellers: the beast and chashu. The latter’s broth is yummier (pork bone & sesame), but the former’s meat toppings are heftier, so they’re both winners in my book. We paired our ramen with their equally delicious gyoza and colorful kani salad. The salad’s good, but I prefer to have more cucumber than cabbage in it. Too bad, they ran out of matcha ice cream earlier, so I’m looking forward to visiting Shizen again! I’ve got my eyes on the Yakuza and shoyu ramen hehe!

Did a little cooking today, and oh boy, Vigan longganisa is always worth all the spattering oil and seemingly slow torture while waiting for these babies to cook. =p

I don’t know what is it with this week, but I seem to have some burger cravings! In case you also want to satisfy yours with “less guilt,” go for Good Burgers as they only use chicken or veggie patties. I always go for the former, and one of my favorites is this 3-cheese burger, which has cream cheese, mozzarella, and cheese sauce. I also love the chewiness of their bread, which stays chewy even after being refrigerated. Their burgers are neatly wrapped in aluminum foil, so they stay fresh and hot longer. I just hope that their Lilac Street branch could be more consistent in patty flavoring.
